8w0d: Looking Good

What a difference a week makes. As soon as they showed up on the screen it was really obvious they had grown. We really loved that Dr. NFB had us in frequently to monitor the babies and my hormone levels. Both babies came through with flying colors at this appointment.

Baby A - 1.6cm with heart rate of 166bpm
Baby B - 1.5cm with heart rate of 159bpm

Quick note on fetal measurements prior to 20 weeks: lengths are crown-to-rump (CRL). Because their little limbs are forming and not proportional, it is inaccurate to include them in the length of the embryo/fetus. Therefore, the convention is to measure the top of their heads to the bottom of their butts.

The babies have little stubby limbs! This is Baby A.

Baby B's heartbeat. The inconsistency in the middle is me breathing and causing the monitor to move.
