9 Cells and Counting

The embryologist called this morning with an update. At this stage, he is looking for 2, 3, or 4 cell embryos. We have one 5-cell and one 4-cell! He graded them as high quality. We are thrilled with this report!!

We know this is SO early, but in a process where every day brings either good news or bad news, we are happy to have good news today. We are praying that our little fighters continue to grow.

Transfer is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30. No sedation, no needles, just valium. Speaking of valium, I really wish they would have prescribed me an entire bottle, not just one pill.

Oh, we actually had one more fertilize yesterday, but he said it is measuring 24 hours behind and is very unlikely to continue to grow. However, he will incubate it today and see how it is doing tomorrow morning.

  1. That is great news! Praying that your great quality embryos turn into beautiful babies! Hoping that the transfer goes smoothly today (and that maybe you'll have another embryo to transfer if you want)!
